If you have followed this series of posts (especially my previous post) on my journey to getting set up for success on Gumroad, you would know why Day 3 is missing: I was traveling.

Some folks can churn out pieces well while in transit, or waiting at airports, but not me. I took the day off from posting.

But what about Day 4? And Day 5?

I find that travel, especially one that includes late nights, discombobulates my schedule even the following day. Add to it a day in which we planned specific activities, days 4 and 5 were gone too.

This doesn’t mean nothing happened on these days; just the reporting was the casualty. So, let me backfill here quickly.

Day 3 — Thinking

Very simply, writing and posting is not my cup of tea during travel, but thinking is great. In fact, getting lost in your thoughts is a great way to endure the inordinate wait times at airports.

I was thinking of all the thinking and over-thinking I have been doing for months now regarding my course of action.

I was thinking of how much material I already have to manifest that first creation of mine — a special report on swing trading of U.S. stocks, on which I have written multiple articles.

I was thinking of how to brand the Gumroad site — in my name or focusing on the topic. A clear allegiance to the Power of One made me decide to go for the topic: swing trading.

I was thinking of how I would assemble the pieces to create my book, or special report, or whatever I decide.

Day 4 — More thinking

Day 4 was filled with pre-planned activities that didn’t offer much time for this new project. But there was still time to plan some and make some decisions:

  • I will give priority to vacation activities as time is better spent on these rare activities. No point spreading thin on multiple projects and falling short in all of them.
  • I will focus on creating the first book after the current vacation ends on day 10.
